Mercedes-Benz 48V EQ Boost Mild Hybrid Battery Module Crash Data Reset
Mercedes-Benz 48V EQ Boost Mild Hybrid Battery Module Crash Data Reset: a UK mail-in bench service from fixmyecuuk in Newport, Shropshire, from £195 including free tracked return. The battery module's control electronics are read in full and backed up on the bench, then the stored crash data is cleared so the module can be used again once the car has been properly repaired. It is not an airbag (SRS) module service. Typical turnaround is 1–3 working days. You can pay now or when the work is done — full refund if we can't do it.
- A vehicle lithium-ion battery module sent on its own is classed as dangerous goods (UN 3480, Class 9). Royal Mail and standard parcel services don't accept it.
- Send it with a courier service that accepts lithium batteries under the dangerous-goods rules for road transport (ADR). When you book, tell the courier it is a lithium-ion battery module and give the voltage and capacity from its label.
- Pack it in a strong, rigid box so it can't move, with the terminals taped or capped so they can't short-circuit, and use the labels and paperwork the courier asks for.
- Don't send a module that is damaged, swollen, leaking or has overheated. Damaged lithium batteries need special packaging and carriage (ADR special provision 376) — message us first.
- If you are sending only the control board, with no cells attached, tell us — ordinary tracked post may then be fine.
- We send it back the same way, by a courier that accepts lithium batteries; return carriage is included in the price.
- The module must be physically undamaged. After an accident, the car — including its 48V mild-hybrid system — must be checked and properly repaired before the module is refitted. We ask you to confirm this when you book.
- The module is read in full and backed up before any reset.
- 1–3 working days
- 90-day warranty
- Free tracked return
- Pay now or after the job
- Original data backed up first
Can the crash data on your Mercedes-Benz 48V EQ Boost Mild Hybrid Battery Module be cleared?
Usually, yes, for the module on this page — we confirm yours from a label photo first. It must be undamaged. The module is read in full and backed up, then the stored crash data is cleared. If it can't be done, there's no charge for the work.
Mild-hybrid (48V) battery modules and some 12V lithium batteries have their own battery management electronics (BMS). It holds the module's identity and its coding for the car, and on some models it stores a crash event that keeps the module out of use until the crash data is cleared. This service is on that control electronics — cloning its data or clearing crash data — not on the battery cells.
Which versions are covered?
We don't list individual part numbers for this service. Send a photo of the label and we'll confirm whether yours is covered before you post.

More questions
Can I post a lithium battery module with Royal Mail?
No. A lithium-ion battery module sent on its own is dangerous goods (UN 3480, Class 9). Use a courier service that accepts lithium batteries under the road dangerous-goods rules (ADR), tell them what it is, and pack it as they require.
Is this an airbag (SRS) crash reset?
No. This is the crash data stored in the battery module's own control electronics. Our airbag module service is separate, and we don't do airbag crash data reset on German marques.
