Can the Delphi DCM7.1 Renault Nissan 1.5 dCi ECU be cloned?
Yes — this is a service we list for the part numbers below. Your original's data is transferred into a matching donor with the same part number. We confirm your exact label before you post, and you can pay now or when the work is done.
Delphi DCM diesel engine ECUs (and the Delphi CRD units on Mercedes) are fitted by Ford, Peugeot/Citroën, Renault/Nissan, Hyundai/Kia, Mercedes and others. They hold the immobiliser and vehicle data internally, so a second-hand ECU needs your original's data transferred into it before it will start the car.
Which part numbers and versions are covered?
- DCM7.1
- DCM7.1A
- DCM7.1B
Makes: Renault, Nissan
Yours not listed? Send a photo of the label and we'll confirm whether it's covered.

- The donor ECU, with exactly the same part number and hardware number as the original
- A note with your name, phone, registration and the job reference we give you

More questions
Will the car start after fitting the cloned ECU?
In most cases, yes: a correct clone of a matching unit is plug and play. Some platforms need a short relearn (throttle, idle or injector values) after fitting, and we tell you before you post if yours does.
Does the donor have to be the same part number?
Yes. The donor must match the original's part number and hardware. Software can sometimes differ, but we confirm by part number before you post.
What if my original ECU can't be read?
If the chip can't be read we tell you and return your units, with no charge for the work. Where the fault is on the board (power supply, a burnt driver) we may be able to repair it first — we'll quote that separately.
